hi everyone, Im Scott, 34 and live near Pittsburgh. Never wanted to ride until this past spring, went to the safety class then started looking at bikes. Guys at work were pushing HD and I just wasnt impressed, didnt seem to "fit" and thought many of em looked like something my grandpa should be driving. Checked out many other bikes that were eliminated for one reason or another. Saw a stryker on line and went to finger some paint, at 6'3" I felt pretty comfortable on the Stryker as it sat on the dealer floor. Put a down payment down last Tuesday and picked it up friday when the check from the credit union came. Friday had to drive it home from the dealer about 10 miles and garage it as I had to go to work. Two late nights at work resulted in waking up too late to ride. Got done tonight at 11 and despite many people giving me advice to not ride at night until I got some seat time under me I couldnt resist any longer and just got back from what is basically my first ride on my first bike. Stayed local pretty much but still got 40 miles on. I liked the ride but need to do more to get my confidence and comfort level up.

Once you get some more seat time you'll be good to go. I've had motorcycles my whole life but never had a cruiser. When I rode it for the first time it felt strange because I had always rode sport bikes. Got about 400 miles now and I'm getting used to it. Good luck and have fun with your new bike.

Welsome man. Once you get a feel for the bike and a few miles on the tires you are gonna love it. Felt strange to me at first too coming off a street bike and going to a cruiser. Almost like learning to ride all over again.
