That's the problem with living up north :(

Did you get a personal plate or just this years plate given to you by the DVLA?

Clear, sunny day down here tomorrow, hope it 's the same for you so you can get out on them. Just wrap up warm and be safe.

Interested to see what you make of it.

I now have a registration number but it is a bit icy to go on a ride. :'(
Ya StrykerJan you guys be real careful with icy roads. Wife and I just got home from a 160 mile ride that usually takes 4 hrs or so. Took us 7 hrs because the first 30 miles over the north east side of this mountain had more snow and ice the we expected. It was all down hill so after the first 2 or 3 spots of ice we thought it would get better as we got lower but we were wrong. And there was no turning back because there was no way we could go up hill on ice. We made it without incidence but it took us over 3 hrs to go that 30 miles. Wife did great. She never panicked once. We are counting our blessings and I'll tell you I don't want to do that again. ???

The furthest mine will go is a roll out of the garage. I need to alter the gear lever as well to get my boot under it. I have bought a heel and toe shift but don't think it will fit. My husband is going to try to make me one. Ordered a lowering kit as well to help with the maneouvering. Need a nice day for the first ride though so it doesn't scare me. :)

Hey Jan, I had to cut and use pieces from both the Stock Stryker and the 1300 Shifter to make it work. As you can see the heel shift arm is extended 2 inches or so. I also had to shorten the arm to the shift rod by 1/4 inch or it would scrub the frame. Had to do a little bending of arms, but actually bends relatively easy. The Vstar 1100 floorboard bolt right on with no modifications.

Which lowering kit did you get, 2 1/4 or 1"? And please let me know what you think after you put it on because I haven't ordered one yet. Can't decide which one. You know it already feels like you are sitting in the bike flying it rather than on it riding it like the V Stars.

I have ordered the one for the 1300 midnight star by highway hawk. It is only 1". I may get the spring to lower it more. I have gone with the one I can get over here. I can't wait to ride it. Absolutely frozen here now though, :(
