So is anyone else getting little black flakes from there belt during breakin? As I mentioned in an earlier post I have noticed my belt runs along the outside edge if the pulley. Just wondering if anyone else is getting a little rubbing action/ wear on the outside of their belt.

Dealer looked at it this morning and said that is normal the belt it just trying to find it's home on the pulleys.

So any adventurous people out there want to check to see what their belt lol like for me.

I tensioner the belt per the service manual and wheel alignment is lined up with the hash marks on both sides. Only thing I can come up with is the hash marks are not calibrated correctly and the wheel might be slighty out of alignment! Anyone have any clues or wisdom that may enlighten me?

Sometimes the hash marks are off a little. I think someone posted earlier to straightedge the pully, that is a good way of making sure their in line. If you pull the left side cover so you can get to the front pully the straight edge works even better! Put your edge from pully to pully and see how it lines up. Also make sure there's nothing in your pully causing it to track funny.

It had flakes or it had wear on the outside edge of the belt? Did it ever stop?

it had rubber shavings all over the rear and wheel, it did go away
