the cali model i think comes with a evap casnister on the controls on the left side and i want to get extentions but will they work with the evap canister there? also after the ententions will i be able to put on engine guards or is it one or the other? Im 6'2" 6'3" and think they will help alot with the comfort.

The forward controls will be fine with the evap cannister. I ran that way for a while - you just have to undo that one clip holding the hoses and you're good to go. I ended up taking off the cannister on mine though.

I think the forward controls can be made to work with the engine guards, but I don't know whats involved. I haven't tried it yet. Maybe next week.

There's a couple different brands. Mine are Pacific Coast Star. It comes with a new longer brake hose, so you need do the whole brake bleeding bit. There's also one from Scootmods, I think, that has a different bracket arrangement so you don't have to move the brake cylinder. I read something somewhere about scootmods having a discount for forum members, maybe. Can't remember. Do a search.

BTW, I should mention about the engine guards - they won't be able to mount up the way they're supposed to, so it'll probably be a pain and they'll stick further forward. I dunno. I have both, but I took the engine gaurd off when I did the forward controls. Might try to do both some time in the future.

Hum. http://www.yamahastarstryker.com/index.php/topic,2346.msg54107.html#msg54107 Looks like SFCMcGan has the engine gaurd on with forward controls.

There was one guy that actually made forward controls out of the engine gaurds, though I'm not finding that...

I don't know of any forward controls more than 3", but if you really want them it can be done. I'm about 6' and the 3" ones are awesome with the stock seat, and a little less awesome with the Corbin since it sits a tad more forward...
