I thought I'd start a Mod Thread to keep track of the Mods I've made so far and through the years to come.

Although the are MANY things I've LOVE to do, I do have a small budget, so little chunks at a time... I figure that also helps with waiting on vendors to make product for the Stryker 8)

[hr]
One of the first mods, I did was the FacePlate swap out from Nyjol. Dan did an amazing job and was very patient. BikerMojo.com

The Faceplate

The Faceplate with Stock Lighting. Not too bad, but will probably buy the white LED kit from Dan.

[hr]
The second mod I did was to drill out 4 1/2' holes in each mufflers baffle. I like the sound much better then stock.. :)
But still want better exhaust.

[hr]
The third mod is PCS Lowering Links. I decided to go 2.25" drop on the bike.
The good thing is I like the look, the bad thing is with my weight, I'll never ride 2-up that way, so will have to change to 1" drop.

[hr]
Fourth Mod was to remove the Chrome Tank Thingy (technical term) and installed a Peterbilt Speedo Ring.

[hr]
Fifth Mod was removing the License plate light, cut off the rear reflectors, and move the bracket and license up closer to the brake light. I still need to buy LED Bolts, but waiting for a Side Plate Design Idea to be created if possible :)

[hr]
Sixth Mod was one of my favorites.. Granted it's not a MOD, but more Protection. I received my Gaurdian Bell from MNStryker26, and Ran right out and put it on the bike. ;)

[hr]
Seventh Mod was replace the Valve Caps with some skull caps.. Thanks Hunny for the gift...

[hr]
Eighth Mod was a PITA, but OH SO Worth It.. ;D ;D I installed the EJK Programmer. It's the same thing as the GMan Bully, as well as many others...

EJK Installed:

EJK @ Idle:

EJK with Throttle twisted:

I still have to tweak it, but my initial test ride was good, and I can tell the difference.

[hr]
Ninth Mod was the AirBox Mod. It turned out pretty good and sure does make the bike growl. It should hold me over until I can save enough cash for an Air Filter and adapter. Sadly I did take a picture.. ::)

[hr]
So far those are the Mods I've done. I have a Crap Load more to go...

Next Mod, and already ordered was the Piaa Horn

Then I'll go for Mirrors... :D

Thanks to all for introducing me to my newest addiction

Digging the fuel cap mod ;-) Considering that one now.

I need to change my faceplate too, but didn't want the stock light. I'm not familiar with the white LED mod.

Interested in this if you have any more details.

Thanks :)
If you go to bikermojo.com Dan has a kit you can buy that will change put the red lights for white led lights. I know few of the members have it. If your changing the faceplate may as change the lights too. Sadly I did not think of it. So will be a $55 purchase and another speedo teardown.

The tank is an easy, cheap mod, I think it will hold me over, but eventually I'd like to get a custom tank with flushed pop up gas cap. That is far down the road through.

Were did you order the speed-o ring for the gas cap from, I can't find one anywhere. Can only find Peterbilt speed-o cover with lip, also how did you attatch it. I was thinking of just using double sided tape like Yamaha did for there plastic cover.

I ordered mine from BigRigChromeShop.com

It's number UP20554 (Card) Chrome Plastic Speed/Tachometer Cover - Freightliner/Peterbilt

In order to mount it.. I filled the VOID area under it with some Silicone, that gave me enough AREA to put the #m double sided tape like Yamaha Uses. I got that at Autozone, used to mount car trim.

Hope that helps

Gotta get rid of those lollipops! Reminds me of this guy ;D

Otherwise, the bike is lookin' great! Love the speedo! The LEDs are definitely worth looking into.

These are nice and non obtrusive. Very bright and inexpensive on Ebay
Do you have a link or seller info for those lights? What does it take to install?
Installation is reverse of removal, The turn signals are bolted on the plastic brake light assembly. Unbolt the turn signal and un-clip or cut the wiring, then wire up the new turn signals matching wire color and bolt back on.

I had a set of these at the house I was going to use on a sport bike a couple months ago but they had gaps at the seems. Was scared they would leak and short out my electrical, so I went with an integrated brake/turn signal from an R1.

The gaps ,I think you speak of, are so that moisture does not build up in the lights. Mount them pointed down so as to help keep water out of them.

Thx, got it in today and plan on getting it put on this weekend or maybe next. Still have a bunch of parts sitting here waiting to be installed.

Problem is down here its so humid the moisture will build up in the light either way its pointed.

About how much silicon did you use, i filled it up to match the outer rings edge but it didn't cure after 3 days. Tried to install it and it didn't line up perfectly and when i pulled it up all the un-dried silicone came off.

Also how did you line up the ring on it, seems it has no room for error on it.

Sorry just seen this message. I'm sure by now you have it installed. For those who did not, this is what I did.

I made 4 or 5 layers of silicone letting it dry after each fill. then I trimmed down the excess level but allowered enough room for the 3m tape to sit in.

I then placed it on the tank, and marked with a grease pencil, or colored pencil where the top, bottom sides lined up. I then put the 3m tape in place, removed the red plastic, and carefully placed it on the tank where it would hit the cover. Then I pushed the ring down and quickly put the gas cap on to hold it in place.

I took double sided auto tape and cut 1/2" strips, 3 of them. Made a "U" and stuck to inside of ring leaving just a little below the outer edge. Held the ring up and put gas cap on and dropped the ring down to tank.

Well spent the AM removing the front reflectors and installing my new Grimm Reaper Mirrors from Demon. I think for the $$$ they are a great buy and good quality.
