ok so its not really free, i did some work for a guy in exchange for him to paint my tank to remove the decal. then i got to thinking, instead of just all black tank (i have the raven) why not do something more custom looking. i love the "murdered" out look that the raven's are already. i would also like to keep mod-ing (as i can afford it) along the years to achieve a more striped down, bad as$ and "industerial" looking stryker (i.e. - i like the look of exhaust wrap, the mesh thats protects the front intake on the cobra power flo, ect. ...i want to cover the radiator gard with that mesh and do somehting with the head light too) so with that being said i was thinking about a simple flat white on the under side of the tank and sides of both fenders, maybe paint some plastics the same too...i was gunna play around with photoshop sometime. am i on the right track? i have until winter to think up something good... so i would like all the 2 cents i can get! ...you know what they say, "2 heads are better than 1"

Sounds like it's not so much "industrial", but more... Rockabilly. Especially with the way you want to have the tank painted. I'd say look at the Victory Vegas Highball paint scheme, although it's not exactly how you're describing it, it's closeish.

I'd go with (personally, although I've got my own favorite paint scheme, lol) a semi-glossed base, with an ox-blood red and a gunmetal grey pinstriping next to each other. But hey, that's just me, right? ;D

I totally get you on the industrial look, man. I gotta figure out how I want to paint mine too. Don't want to really go flat black because it seems too "rat-rod" to me. Don't really want all the same color either, it needs to be broke up some. To bad I'm not more artistic.

yeah i agree, i wont go too much flat black, gotta find that happy medium. never seen a bike with bed liner on it. ill have to google it, it sounds interesting but i had a bad experience with rhino liner and my truck, so i dunno if i would go that route again with something like my bike

I am dreaming of seeing a mate dark military green Stryker. I am seriously thinking about that scheme as the next winter project. I am pretty sure it would look bad ass!

yea, od green would be pretty cool, with just a few accents in od tan.... but thats a whole different themed bike all together, besides i dont think i could pull off having something like that and never served for the country.... oh and i could also see the A-10 face on the side of the tank to go with this military bike that one of you will have one day
