Just moved from Florida to Colorado! :thumb: Not gonna call it a win, not gonna call it a loss, just gonna say there aren't mountains back in Florida. Hope to run into some of ya'll during my tour here. Already met one guy during my ride in and directed him to the forum. I know the South East group was great, looking forward to getting to know the Mid West!!!:nod::biggrin1:

I'm actually stationed on the Academy now. Loving the area so far, but I'm dreading the winter.

I'm from upstate NY, winters are brutal, moved to Denver 20 years ago, don't mind the winters to much anymore. I could see moving to FL some day, love the state.

I loved FLA, but grew up on the FL/GA border. Spent the last 6 years stationed there. I'm just waiting to see if it's possible to ride in the winter here. I've seen some pretty disturbing pictures about the snow. (Which I hate snow by the way.) Guess we'll just have to wait and see. At least the weather's great right now, except for all the smoke.

Welcome to CO! Plenty of days in the winter you'll be able to ride and also plenty when you can't. Riding in the mountains in the summer makes up for it all.

You did shut the gate when you got here, right? Lots of riding days in the winter. The nice thin here is unlock most of the Midwest when it snows most of it is gone in a couple of days, unless you are in the mountains.

I make no promises about the gates! It is beautiful up here, just in a different way than I'm used to. Been sharing a lot of pictures with friends back home.

What part of Florida? , i was just in Colorado Springs in April. Just helped my son and daughter in law move there, he's in the Army and got transfered to Ft Carson. That area is just breath taking with the mountains and will be going back to visit in August. One of these days i would love to ride from Cocoa Florida to Colorado Springs on the Stryker -or maybe trailer it. I'm sure that there are plenty nice places to ride out there- enjoy.

I was stationed at Hurlburt Field. My wide actually just got a job out if Ft. Carson. The area is really pretty. Just got to get out over the elevation
