Aight heres the business....... I went on a bike ride with a group of peps this murnin from some dealer event they promote every 2nd sat of each Mo. this Sat was test riding the SPYDER.... Anyways there were really no rules when we went on the ride.... the Manager o the dealership just mentioned not to be as A$$ and be respectful..... & i strongly agree with that!! but we went on the ride and people were just so anxious to be in the font of the "pack" no pun intended lol..... but when we come down to getting to the hills and mountains where their are turns and stuff on the old 94 (if your from SD) common sense is and general rule is..... when riding in a group you always want to be in a staggered formation.. maybe side by side at times if the other person isnt an idiot but when it comes to turns its generally single formation!..... or when theirs a bicyclist someones gotta back off and let the one in front get to the outer part of the road to avoid the bicyclist and just common sense stuff....... Some JACKA$$ who was rollin with his Ol'Lady kept riding my A$$ from the get go as if he wanted to pass and ive given him plenty opportunity but where i got pissed was when it was a down hill slope and sign shows theirs a dip and to slow down to 35mph... well their was a bicyclist in that exact location where the dip was and obviously if your riding in a group you would back off so the person in front of you can move away form the right shoulder where pedests and bicyclists are at.... Well this jackA$$ was tryin to get next to me on my left like he wanted to cruise like "CHIPS" and i couldnt get over to the left... if i sped then im assed out cuz it was a DiP.. So i barely get away with passing up the bicyclist coming 1ft close to hitting her..... rite when i passed her up and the road evened out after the dip i swerved like a Muf**a and the JackA$$ backed off.... when it came down to the turns i wasnt worried about him being on my A$$ cuz he was keeping other people behind.... but GRRRR.... That Pissed Me Off.....

Another thing happened after the ride.... ate burgers at the dealer and test rode the Can-Am Spyder..... When i was being given the scoop on the Spyder i noticed a group of cruiser bikes coming into the lot but they were far away and noticed a orange raked out cruiser bike park rite next to my black beaut lol.... i finished up my test ride and decided to leave that place and saw the owner of the orange cruiser walk up to me and i asked what his hyper charger cost him just to shoo the S***.... Then i said.... "Thats The New HONDA Fury Rite" His Jaw dropped and his face had a disgusted look to it and said "No Its A Harley"... then i said "Ohh really?" He said "If you werent wearing your helmet rite now i would smack you in the head".... I lmao out loud in my helmet so he heard me and i said " Id like to see that happen, But it does look like the HONDA FURY Though" and he walked away....... Heres His Bike Compared To The Fury .... I could def see mistaking that for a fury. Without looking too close they ARE very similar. :-X Its a shame he has such a bad attitude toward a fellow rider. I sometimes wonder if *some* HD riders just get into that brand to have bragging rights. No reason to be insulted over someone not knowing your bike. Isnt that the idea of customizing? To have a bike all your own. :

No matter what bike I see, I look at the engine......that will always tell you what the bike is......the pushrods and tranny screams HD. Shoot, someone call my bike a HD, I'd been insulted. ;D
I know what u mean Mann... That's the point for people to b like wtf is that? Then you shoot the sh** and have some small talk.... This guy was an older gent too... In his 50's... I repect my elders but some people need a good sidekick in the head lol... the sad part is not his attitude... its the fact that he spend thousands of dollars to try and make his bike stand out. but when in reality he could have saved money and bought a fury. I could see where his attitude came from. I'd be pissed if someone called my 20K+ HD a honda fury. I take it as a complement when someone calls mine a HD. I just correct them nicely that its a yamaha and watch there jaw drop. usually followed by "I didnt know yamaha made such a nice bike"

I'm sorry, but I'm proud to say I didn't spend thousands extra for inferior quality. I had a friend offer me his HD for bikeweek this past year when I was going through the seminole powersports fiasco.....it was just reaction, I went....pfffffffffffft, I wouldn't be caught dead on that thing....sorry. I do have friends that understand and they do ride HD, but they are respected because of their attitude, which is a good one, but this guy......I'd pfffffffffffffft in his face all day.
Haa i was surprised myself, thought bikers had more respect then drivers??? but i dont consider all bikers like that now just cuz of this one incident... people are just DI**s sometimes but i just laughed at his ass.... told him strait up.... Thats the main reason I wont do group rides unless its a small group and I know all the guys. As for the jerk with the HD, I woulda said "Oh yeah, the Fury looks better."

I'm with Black.. I never ride in large groups, or with more then one I don't know. You can't trust the driving habits of Ya Hoos. We have enough to worry about when we ride, like bad car drivers and animals, then to add a biker who hasn't grown up yet.

You're right, MyLife. I've got 4 friends that I ride with that I trust completely. It was worse when I rode sportbikes because alot of young guys let their egos get them in over their heads trying to keep up with the fast guys. I always hung in the back and let em go.
