Pulled mine out of the garage on a hot day. It sat outside for a couple of hours and I noticed a fuel drip also. Wondered if it was the temp difference so I put it back in the garage and checked on it about an hour later and there was no more fuel drip. Been good since.

that is when I notice it when it sits in the sun for awhile, I know that is a vent tube for the fuel tank but there should not be anything dripping out of it. my bike is the federal emission not the California emission so there is no emission canister in it, if it was the raw fuel would be saturating the canister and eventually destroying it.

I absolutely agree with you Scott. The best that I could come up with was that the gas fumes started to collect in the vent tube when the fuel warmed up and then started to condensate in there. Which in turn then started to drip from the vent tube.

got a call from the dealership today they finaly heard back from yamaha and they are aware of this problem, it only happens to fed emmision bikes not california bikes, the fix is to install the charcoal canister, it will not effect the performance of the bike just allows the vapers to enter the canister with no drip. they ordered the canister and will install it when they get it.
