clar.... Hopefully I dont confuse you. I talked with someone at a sportbike store that sells quite a few of these. They were saying to try and get one that matches the pipes...(not critical). In my case Ill go with prolly vance and hines. They were slated to come out in a few weeks. They said they actually do extensive dyno testing to achieve optimum mapping with their pipes. SO... Im gonna hold out and wait. Was also told that if you do extensive tuning (cams..heads..etc. to go with a power commander)

I also want the vance & Hines pipes.
I ordered a Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro programmer http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/stryker_performance.htm
This programmer states that it's not for use in califorina, I live in SD and have a CA bike, they make a different one for ca models, but it does not tune in crusing mode, this state wants you to run as lean as possible to be CARB legal.
I ordered from pacificcoaststar and they said they would exchange it if it did not fit this bike ,Im hoping it will. 8)

Well I have talked to several Shops and they all kinda said the same thing it really didn't matter what you use. You just need to map them correctly (DYNO test). So I ordered the STRYKER SWEPT EXHAUST BLACK, Tornado Air Kit Black and the COBRA Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner. The powerpro is new to the market. (Not a lot of Shop Feed Back) Will give this all a try. I've been working with http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/stryker.htm also they have been pretty helpful. Nothing has come in yet , I've been waiting since June 3rd. Cobra just keep pushing the release dates. Will post later after it's all install.

OK heres my 2 cents. I had one on my last bike and I will be putting one on my Stryker. Vance and Hines Fuel Pak. This is one kick ass commader. 8) Why? Because Vance and Hines spends time in their lab testing and drawing up maps for every bike and combination of exhausts you can put on you bike. Along with air intakes. They then provide you the codes for your combination set up and you put them in. ( A two year old could do it) The codes can be changes anytime and you can play with them if you like. No other commander lets you do this. No TEC needed to put you up on a dyno for $100 a hour. Also there are forums such as this that riders send in code changes that they have done to change there performance. You want more popping change # 12 to 7, want more high end change #18 to 2 etc. Plus if Vance and Hines do any correction they post those on a regular bases. Lastly they don't care if your using a Vance and Hines exhaust or not. Got a Cobra, use these codes. Check out their web site.

OH YA. Unless you are changing the air intake. No commader needed.

That's All good But like Stated. The NEW COBRA Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner does all that for you. (Tweaking) 80 times per second sounds like a winner to me. NO ADJUSTEMENTS add what ever you want. Start your bike and it adjusts it self. What could be easier. Just saying.
I liked V&H on all my dirt bikes and Quads. I have no reason to cut on them (V&H) But read what the PowrPro can do. Yes the Cost Suck but i hate messing with ****.
