Today was my first ride to work with the fuelpak installed. Solved the popping and the gears are much longer. But the throttle response is off, it hesitates. I almost staled it taking off at a red light.

I'm only running pipes and the fuel pak still waiting for the hypercharger.

They had me change a few numbers which fixed the throttle hesitation. But it seems like the popping came back. I called back and they said its normal for it to pop. I hope the cobra is better, I still have it on order.

I had the fuelpak on my other bike and loved it. Check with V and H, they do updates on the changes at times after getting customer comments. Also do a google search. I came across some sites that other fuelpak owners with your bike do their only little tweeks and post the number changes. It will make a big dif. in fuelpak performance when you put on the Hyper.

Ok this fuel pak sucks ass!!! After calling V&H 6 or 7 times my bike still doesn't run right. Decel popping happens everytime I let go of the gas. I have a flat spot in first gear. And the engine just seems to run hard.

I discussed the options with a tech at my local dealer and he advised me right off the bat to stay away from the Fuelpak, his top recommended one is the Cobra Tuner but I find it hard to pay that much when the bike runs great already. I guess I''' have to if I add the intake but I haven't settled on on of those yet either.

I never had a problem with my fuelpak it performed flawlessly. I'm guessing its in your coding. Do you have your hyper on yet. I do know that what some of us consider high flow filter, the fuelpak doesn't, so you have to use the code for exhaust with factory filter even though you may have a high flow. The hyper will be high flow, but if you just did some mod to your intake and added a K and N for example you will have to use the program for reg air filter. Did you do a Google search for people who are using the fuelpak on their bike. Just because we're on a Stryker forum doesn't mean that there are not riders out there who have done all the mods we've done and more and are sharing their codes.

Yeah I have searched the web and can't find any info. Or anyone else who has installed the fuelpak. I even emailed low and mean to see if they had any ideals sence I bought it from them. But they never emailed me back I guess they are busy. Vance & Hines had me start at the original setting keep changing a few numbers in increments. Didn't help just made the bike run less ****ty. I had a friend ride it that has 2 Harley's and he said it didn't feel right. I wish the Cobra one would hurry up and get here.

Hey gabev30, I just installed my Fuelpak yesterday. I'm running V&H big radius 2 into 2, L&M performance air package. Right out of the gate bike performance was MUCH better, but I'm having trouble keeping the bike from turning off! I used the V&H Fuelpak codes right off their website. Did you have this same problem? When i give it some throttle and let off either in neutral or downshifting from second to first the bike wants to shut down unless i keep giving it gas. Sometimes that doesn't even work and I end up stuck at a light trying to start the **** thing. I usually have to turn the ignition off, then on again to get the bike fired back up.
Any thoughts on what codes I might need to adjust? Haven't tried to call V&H yet (its Sunday) but i will on Monday. If this stalling out thing can't be corrected the Fuelpak may not be on my bike much longer. :-\

Yeah you have to change codes 45, 46, 47 to 50. That will fix the throttle problem but it doesn't fix the popping. I'm going to try and return my fuelpak, after numerous calls they can't fix the popping problem. It pops everytime I decal no matter what.

Okay so I called V&H for the second time and told them based on following their first suggestion on changing a few cells (cell 36 to 5, cell 45 to 21, and cell 46/47 to 25 I was still having the stalling when coming to a stop or holding in the clutch while in first. I wasn’t getting too much popping with this map just stalling of the bike. So today a different guy (Derrick) tells me to increase cells 45/46/47 to 50 (just like you said Gab). So I get home, change the values, and take the bike out for a 20 mile ride. The stalling stopped, however, the popping increased two fold. Much more popping, and the quality of sound coming out of the V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 just sounds a little off. Maybe I need to have someone ride my bike so I can hear the pipes from a distance but I’m not sure I’m completely happy with the sound. Time will tell.

At this point I will try to contact V&H again and see if there is a way to reduce the popping. If this is the end result I will deal with it and wait to see if other members here who try the cobra auto tuner have better luck. On a scale of 1-10 for the fuelpak I’m at a 5. Bike runs better and faster with the fuelpak,(keep in mind I have the pipes and performance air filter) but the popping is a little irritating and I don’t have a big grin on my face with the exhaust note. Maybe the fuelpak runs great on other makes/models, but I don’t think V&H dialed it in yet for the Stryker. :-\

Yeah I feel the same way! The sound is just not right, doesn't have that pleasant deep rumble. Vance & Hines techs are just guessing at this point. I really don't think they even tested the fuelpak on this bike. I'm in the process of trying to return it.
