Every bike I take a gander at in the gallery is awesome. But I have an idea when it comes to doing the SOM, have two catagories, mild and wild. Mild being simple easy mods. Wild being full blown $$$$ customizations. I think by doing this it will get people more involved in their bike. And it should allow people to work their way up i this was their very first bike and learning how to mod. It's only a suggestion so don't flame me to bad. LOL

Seems like paint jobs usually win. I can't afford a new paint job. I think lots of us can't afford paint jobs. Nice to see one of the nominees this month doesn't have a custom paint job. So I think 2 is a good idea.. even use paint as the thing that sets category.

I think we should leave it as is. IMO, the point is to showcase unique and beautiful bikes, not to have warm fuzzies. Also, who decides what is mild vs. wild? KISS.

At first I thought it sounded like a good idea, but the more I think about it it's like not keeping score for a game so both teams are winners? SOTM should be about modding, and the time you spent making your bike one of a kind. I've never had mine up there either, but dont think I'd want to be nominated for the "Mediocer SOTM" kinda like ridin the short bus to school, I allways hated that! ;D If you strive for excelence you'll have alot nicer finished product, even if you cant achieve it, than shoot for anything less and fallin short? Just my opinion?
