Ok, I've not been a big poster of technical questions here, but I've gotta ask this one. Is anyone else experiencing some fairly strong vacuum pressure when opening the gas cap on refill? I've had the bike for a year now and never really noticed any. That said, the cap has been really stuck on when I fill up the last few times. I mean really stuck on to the point where I have to yank on it for a second or two to get the seal to break and let some air in.

For the record, I have changed nothing recently in terms of what level the gas is at before I fill up or anything like that. The only mechanical change I've made recently is a swap from a spike air intake to the Arlen Ness Big Sucker and I could have sworn that it started before that but I'm not sure.

It's really got me scratching my head. ???

You know 11, I remember you posting that way back when now that I see it again. I had forgotten your mentioning that the cap stuck with all of that. Thanks for the link. I'll bet that's probably what I've been doing.

Thanks dude.

Cap should actually be a little wobbly when installed correctly.

Filled tank up for first time on Saturday, cap popped off after putting back on. I guess I didn't push down hard enough on cap. Put a nice little nick on top of tank I mean it's small but just pisses me off that I wasn't more careful. But anyway just ordered touch-up pens from Color-Rite, maybe I'll do a before and after video to show results.

On our first fill on one of the bikes we couldn't get the gas cap off for the life of us. And we were low on fuel and a good ways from the house. After looking at the other Stryker and getting the cap off easily, we noticed that the key slot for the gas cap was turned a little to the left as compared to the other Stryker that was vertical. It seemed the notch on the gas cap got underneath the rim of the tank and turned a little bit, thus being locked in place. I pushed down on the cap and turned slightly to the right and it popped right off.

So maybe the same thing is happening, if only slightly. Could be from vibration or maybe when you are putting the cap back on. Just make sure the key slot is vertical and lines up down the center of the tank. Don't know if this is the issue with yours, but I'm sure aware of the key slot every time I put gas in either bike.

Patrice , has no issues with hers, but she did the Cobra intake. there was a hose that went from the stock intake and went on the new one. check and see if it is crimped. i belive that is a bleeder hose from the tank. just a thought.
