So after I installed the Carlock Gas Cap mod with a vented Roland Sands Gas Cap, I've noticed that I have a very tiny fuel drip coming from the gas tank breather tube, past the roll over valve. I've been wondering why the garage smells like gas and my gas mileage has gone down a tad. From what I can tell, the engine performance hasn't changed at all.

Anyone have any insight? Does the new gas cap not vent enough? Vents too much? Without seeing the venting system in action, it's hard for me to visualize how it works.

Any and all help is appreciated!

Unfortunately no. I had to revert to the oem gas cap to rectify the problem. I drilled more holes for more venting but it didn't help the issue at all. huge disappointment. just finished reverting the other day.

I am soo sorry to hear that.. What you put together looked awesome.. It actually changes the look an feel of the bike. I am just going to have someone powder coat the OEM gas cap, then add the LM gas cap accent. Not sure if I you will still be able to see the chrome, but will try. Thanks

No, you shouldn't be able to see any of the chrome. I just powder coated my old gas cap and threw it on with a simple black ring accent. Good luck!
