Getting deeper/louder sound from stock exhaust?

I have a 2014 Stryker with the stock exhaust that I don’t want to swap out for some of the other pipes I’ve seen. The sound is not as loud/deep as I would like. Is there a way I could have a motorcycle shop modify the exhaust to give it a deeper sound, and how hard will I have to look to find someone that knows what they’re doing?

The most common mod to stock exhaust is to drill around the baffles. I think some guys have even removed the baffles. Like you, I wasn't as fond of the aftermarket exhausts available for this bike, I feel like Yamaha did a great job aesthetically with the mufflers. However, I couldn't stand the lack of aggressiveness enough that I changed it out for a slip-on. I talked to a couple of places about modding the factory exhaust, but no one wanted to mess with it (after removing and inspecting the stock muffler setup, I could see why).

Good luck with your bike, I hope you find someone to make it the way you like it.

Go to my profile and look to see how I wrapped the baffles.

Thanks for the feedback. You basically described how I feel about the stock mufflers vs aftermarket. I viewed a few youtube videos and think I may just drill some 3/8" holes in the rear of the baffles.

I may do it myself. I viewed a few youtube videos and think I may just drill some 3/8" holes in the rear of the baffles.

Thanks for the info. I looked at your wrapping video and it got me thinking of looking for baffle modification videos. I viewed a few youtube videos and think I may just drill some 3/8" holes in the rear of the baffles.
I drilled four 5/8 holes in both baffles and it improved the sound considerably. The other big change in the sound came from switching to a L.A. Customs XXX Intake.
