I know a lot of riders go with Progressive as their insurance carrier, and so have I for the past year. I went with them because I was a new rider and my regular insurance company wanted a premium that looked more like a new truck payment. Now that a year of incident free riding has passed I re-checked with my auto insurance carrier (Farmers) and was pleasantly surprised. By switching my premiums went DOWN by 20%! So, adios Progressive!

I’ve heard that Allstate is really bad to work with when it comes time for claims (feedback from my friends)
Don't believe that hype. I have had Allstate now for 25 yrs and never once did I have an issue with a claim. They have always immediately taken care of the problem and gone after the other party in the background. Over the course of those 25 yrs I have had claims on my cars and house, never had to enter a claim on any of my motorcycles but would expect the same service i have recieved from car and home. Allstate may be a couple more dollars then the other insurance companies but with the excellent service I have had with them over the yrs, i have no desire to switch. There is something to be said about good service.

I too had my bike with progressive, I bundled my homeowners, autos & bike coverage with my personal liability and special items coverage (jewelry, antiques, etc...) and my combined rates went down over 1k per year

I'm in the middle of a claim with Progressive currently and I couldn't be happier with how they have treated me through all it. For us, Progressive is treated as a bundle with our USAA coverage on our other vehicles...
