So my V&H big radius pipes finally came in after 6 weeks on backorder. ;D Yeah! So I drop off my bike for the 7K service, have the pipes installed along with the Cobra air and the cobra autotuner. I go into work at 5am - 4 hrs early, so I can get vital stuff done and take a vacation day tomorrow as picking up the bike tonight. Looks awesome, sounds bitchin, until it quits on me 10 miles from the dealer. :'(
Luckily they were still open and showed up pronto with a trailer to take it back to the shop. Hopefully an easy fix so I can save my well-deserved and desparately needed vacation day ride.
Ran great and then puttered like running out of gas, although tank 3/4 full. Started once for a few seconds and then nothing. Definitely a fuel issue. Hope its a silly stupid thing thats a quick fix and not a faulty unit, I cant wait or waste any more riding days. Need my stress reliever in the worse way.

Sounds like someone at shop turned the fuel petcock to the off position when they raised the tank to hook injector connections

There's no petcock on injected bikes (at least not in my experience), but yeah, the tech most likely missed a fuel related plug or hooked it up wrong. generally easy to do.

Sorry friend, but there is a fuel petcock because I have changed my own Fuel tank twice. Would not have brought this up half cocked! LOL

This exact same thing happened to me when I picked my bike up from being painted. It was the petcock that dicked me over. Bet you a 100 bucks it the same thing.

I was also wondering about the Petcock (yes ///Matt, there is one ) Under the tank, left hand side, somewhat above the rear sparkplug.

*edit: FYI verticle is open. Horizontal is closed

Yep... petcock cause a problem with me to... I only had it open 3/4 of the way... cause a hard accel problem... fully opened.... the bike is a road rocket!

someone give midlifecrisis a 100 bucks! Was the petcock - guess ther's a position to access the reserve part of tank. It had enough fuel for the mechanic 10 min test ride and 10 min of my ride home before it was drained. On my way to pick her up and salvage rest of vacation ride day!

Did they include the spacers for the exhaust side footpeg?
I received mine without spacers and had to improvise until V&H mailed them to me.
