Fellow Riders-

Does anyone have a complied list of saddlebags that fit the stryker. Looking for something sleek and modern to compliment the looks of the stryker and add some functionality. I am tired of carry all my gear in my backpack!

thanks

Ive heard a few people say that the zippers break after not too long, the vinyl start to seperate and crack. Better keep an eye on them. I was gonna have these too but after hearing that, the hunt continues

Thats scary, I hope that doesn't happen. Being that my bike is garage kept, I would really be pissed if they do. As for the zippers, that has been a concern of mine since I am constantly opening and closing them, but they feel very durable and rugged when pulling them, so again...fingers crossed.

I just really like the look of them.

Yeah me too...they are the best looking ones to match the lines of the bike for sure. Hope they hold up for you

I'm getting a set of aftermarket bags put on during the first service at the dealer. I'll post some pictures when I get it back.

I was out for a ride last night with the father in law and I saw another Raven Stryker with what looked light Saddlemen Desperado bage (two buckles). Didn't look bad at all. The Arlon Ness Teardrops were a nice addition too.

I agree with Shimbo that bags kill the look, but for me they are a neccesary evil. I live in central Florida and I need to always be prepared with a rain suit. I also carry things I feel are neccesary items (spare glasses, cleaning wipes, cargo net/tie downs, riding gloves, cell phone charger, etc.). Also I run as many errands as possible on my bike, so I constantly use them for storage.

I have ordered the Star bags and supports, but they are unfortunately on back order everywhere (I assume due to the Japan earthquake). They look like they don't hold much. Any input on that Drizztbob?

Has anyone added Star saddle bag supports while having the Star quick release backrest? I am wondering if the supplied hardware support this?

First the bags can carry up to 7 lbs of stuff a piece, and are quite spacious. They have a dual zipper so they can be expanded when needed. As to the backrest, which I have as well, the support bars hardware allow for the extra length of the backrest and both can be used in conjunction. See my gallery. And yes I was on back order when I ordered my bike 4 months ago.

Gl!

There is a picture of my bike with bags in the gallery, the saddle bags are "coretech sport saddlebags BLK" (#82-332) The top peice is the "cortech sport tailbag BLACK" (#82-417) SUPER HAPPY with them. Went away for 8 days, didn't have to expand the zip outs. Thats 8 pants, 8+ boxers and socks, 8+ teeshirts and one long sleve, toiletries. the whole nine. Only down side is not water proof at the zippers, but a plastic trash bag with the clothes in it takes care of that, and if you compress it befor you put it in the actual saddle bag it makes more room! super easy to mount and dismount and had no worries doing a 3ish hour trip at speed of over 95. and tons of space between pipe and bag so no heat issues.
