Went to Sears today with the wife and child. While she was upstairs doing some shopping I was looking at tools. Found two craftsman Jacks. A black and red one, and a yellow one.

Came home with the yellow one. Sits 2 inches lower and its 50lbs lighter. But I don't know how people use these jacks. I put my bike up on it and it scared the **** out of me the whole way up. I gave it a little shake and sure enough it's pretty sturdy.

One quick question though. It came with straps. To me a heavy bike on that Jack were to start to fall off. The straps wouldn't seem like it would help much. Should I even bother to strap it up?

Depends on what I'm doing. Heavy duty pounding, yes. Minor stuff, nope.

I paid $194 with tax included. They were having an online sale for $179.99 and he price matched. It would have been $199.99.

Even if I'm only bringing it up an inch, I strap it. Last thing I want is to not strap it and with my luck I would trip and fall into it and it would crash to the ground. lol.
