The bike's gotten a lot of attention lately. This weekend, at a stop light I got honked at and a thumbs up from a dude in a car. Yesterday, a store proprietor who's a HD guy told me I had a beautiful bike. When I parked outside of a sushi place in Austin (on the sidewalk, like the douchebag that I am), people stopped and looked. Two couples took pictures of it. Funny thing is, it's barely modded, LOL. That makes me **** proud of my bike :)

What are your thoughts of the V ROD? I made the mistake of sitting on a Night Rod ...

I think bagging a VROD is counter-intuitive, but the at least the ones I've seen aren't ugly.

I think it's meant for taller people, but one can always mod it to your liking. I don't have any immediate plans to get one and am liking the fact that I'm always getting compliments on the Stryker. Neat thing is nobody knows what a Stryker is :thumb:

my co-worker just picked up a 2002 v-rod. he's not really a harley die hard but thought he got a good deal....

then today (got my stryker friday) i parked next to him for the first time. he was PISSED. the stryker is a LOT longer (bigger) and he's 6'4" like I am. he was overheard bitching about his bike during lunch that he got a 11 year old bike and paid more than i did for a new bike that he likes better.

i think he'll be parking elsewhere the rest of the summer.

Primeral, that is a beautiful bike, much more so than the V Rod. Personally I don't care for their look although I do hear that it is a great running engine.

That's odd, resale on VRODs suck because HD diehards treat VRodders as redheaded stepchildren, and they are ridiculed into buying something aircooled :)

My friend stole his 2008 for $8k. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little envious but I love my bike and I'm not losing any sleep. Still, 5 gallon tank, 120+ hp, and not-quite a Harley (at least it has the badge for the badge whores in tight clothing, yesss) ... sounds like one is in my future, LOL.

Wayne, thanks a million!
