Jon, If you have anything on top of your battery, this needs to be removed or relocated to the side or forward under the latch. It looks to us that the seat should fit lower. Either way it looks great on your ride.

Is there supposed to be that much gap between the tank and the seat?

I had it on wrong. I had the tool kit under the seat . I removed it and now it fits really good . I will get good pics tomorrow. It is comfortable and looks great.

I also have a really bad back .MY said:I love that Low and Mean seat. It looks SIC. 8) I'm going to get one, the only thing I'm worried about is, I'm going to one day have to get some back support. Don't know how much longer I'll be able to ride with this back of mine. Maybe Low and Mean can come up with some sort of back support, add on/ take off. So I can look cool when I pull into a place. ( You know, pull over a mile before you turn in to a place and remove the backrest. ;D )
