No, not for pinning the speedo out all the way......sorry to disappoint.

I got pulled over 5 blocks from my house for having blue led license plate bolt lights. I know wtf?? He said any blue lights were illegal (I'm in Texas). I just said yes sir and that I thought they were legal , and let him give me my warning. How the **** are they not legal when they are FOR A LICENSE PLATE?? I have two of them on the top corners aiming at a 90 degree angle across the plate. You can't see the bulbs unless you put your head to the ground.

I know blue and red lights here in Alberta Canada are illegal. So is my side mounted plate but it's something I'm willing to pay for until I get pulled over twice in a season lol

unfortunately the officer is correct only a white light for the license plate light. Is your light actually blue or just looks blue because its a led? where did you end up putting your inspection sticker did the officer ask about that just curious?

Yes, they r blue lights. I bought em on ebay....supposed to be for a license plate so i assumed they were legal. I'll order some white ones, just like 8 bucks a pair. I liked the blue ones tho.

I don't have an inspection sticker....it's a 4 month old bike. Where u supposed to put an inspection sticker?

The officer warned me against blue "accent lights". I told him I WILL be getting them installed, so he will just have to fking deal with it lol.

Quite awhile ago I called the state patrol here in Wisconsin to ask about lighting and I was told that any accent lighting that's blue or red is illegal - those colors are strictly reserved for emergency vehicles like police or ambulance. That's if they're actually being driven on a road - if you're parked somewhere, anything is fine.

Here in Washington... I got pulled over for a green LED license plate frame... Cop said only a white light shining down from the top was legal... gave me a repair warning, Had to have the State patrol inspect and write it off as fixed.

yeah bikes in texas have to be inspected just like cars and the inspection sticker has to be lit up by the license plate light. the sticker is 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches it gets renewed every year. Most cops don't even look for it but I was given a sitation acouple of years ago on my buddies harely. If the bike was purchased in Texas then the dealership was suppose to put the sticker on, mine was mounted under the license plate so I just left it there.

Well, I thought there was an inspection, but even for a brand new bike?

Was our tabs expired... yes... but come on!!!

Well that sucks. Aren't you supposed to get just a fix it ticket for expired tags and have a chance to fix it especially if you were out of the country for an extended period of time. Come on. Makes me wonder who they work for anymore.
