I would like to know if any of the Indy / Anderson area (within an hour or so) have the touring seats on their strykers -... the mustang, corbin, parts unlimited: solo/pillion or 2up style of seats.

It is so difficult to really know how they look and feel from just pictures online and the wife would REALLY like to know how comfy the pads are, it's all about the wife's comfiness right? (ok, ok.. mine too) lol.

I know from the forums there are a variety of variables that go into deciding what to get... but seeing & feeling is believing: Esse Est Percipi!

So, if any of you area owners have something like this and would be willing to meet someday - We would greatly appreciate meeting with you and getting some real life face time / input.

P.S... and actually even some input from the rest of you regarding what your passengers think is the most comfortable seat would also be appreciated!

Ok.... So I have done a wee bit of sluething and here is my list of Indiana Strykers, I'm sure I have probably missed a few, so please feel free to add yourself to the list.

Me: Anderson (just NE of Indy)
StykerFunk: Pittsboro (just NW of Indy)
Mavtg: Plainfield (just SW of Indy)
bodie: Wolcottville (NW of Fort Wayne)
Spiznizel: New Albany (Lousiville area)
Strykblack: ?
ashtank23: Indianapolis
gravitas: Indianapolis
Venjurak: Pittsboro

So, there is at least 6 of us in the greater Indianapolis area that are within an hour of each other - should be good for meet & greets... help with projects/mods .... rides.... etc.. etc.

Just thought I'd put this out there as a fyi

First post! Feels weird after well over a year of sneaking around getting ideas and instructions.

Anyways, I'm in downtown Indy and I believe Strykblack is an IMPD officer, but I haven't asked him yet. We took the ABATE course together.

Probably not the place for this, but just as an FYI these are my mods so far:

Low and Mean Rear Taillight, Chromeglow front fork turn signals, plastidipped many chrome parts, PCS lowering links (2.25 inch for now), Kuryakyn black ISO grips, demon cycles black mirrors, MotoVision headlight bulb, and a few other small things.

My wife will kill me if I buy anything else this season, but I've got plans for the Baron BAK, Vance and Hines twin staggered exhaust, and an autotuner.

Awesome Ashtank23! I'll add ya to the list.
Oh and welcome to the forum!

btw... does your wife have her own bike or does she ride with you?

My wife say's the first thing that we have to get is the seat and sissybar! Can't wait for a local meet & greet one day!

definately want to check out the plasti dip parts... think bout that or going to wrap the chrome parts in carbon fiber, oh and those chrome glow front signals....

I'm trying to convince her to ride her own, but for now she just rides with me. I've got the short, quick release backrest for her, but she's tall and it gets uncomfortable quickly so I'll need to relocate the rear pegs. We road down to Brown County last weekend and she almost didn't make it.

The Chrome Glow signals we super easy to install and hardly took an hour while sipping (more like chugging) beer. I think they really clean up the front of the bike.

I'd be all for a meet and greet this summer!

Sweet- at least a half dozen or more of us in the Greater Indy area... and it seems like a ride down to Brown County is just the ticket! We will definately have to make this happen sometime this summer.

We like to hit a few of the rides on the N.E. side of Indy - so anytime your in the neck of the woods... let us know and we'll definitely hook up.

Good thing for you - there is a ton more rides in the S.W of INDY than there ever are on the N.E. side... so we don't get down to the S.W. side of Indy very often.

Bought a Mustang Wide touring seat early June and I love it. The wife finds a huge difference in comfort. It is much wider than stock back seat so she feels safer. Back rest is a huge upgrade. If you spend the money for an after market seat, don't buy one without it as you can use it on long ride or remove it for shorter rides and a better look. Sorry that I can't meet you to have you try it as I live in Canada but imo, this seat rocks. especially after a hundred miles or so. Have a look at the pictures below and see the difference from stock.
