Handgrip changes

Ok quick question ladies and gents,

Besides a shop what is the easiest way to get the ends off the handlebars in order to change out the grips a buddy and I tried tonight and didnt get to far. They are not wanting to twist off to save my life.

Any help would be great,

Hey thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback.


I will be changing them out after work today now, checked the caps, for some reason lastnight they didnt seem like caps.
