Hey everyone, I've been looking into anything that will bring my handlebars a little higher up and a little closer to my hands while riding. I've looked and I can't see any risers, etc. that are designed for the Stryker.

Would regular 1" handlebar risers even work with the way our handlebars are mounted?

I'm only looking for something that can raise the stock handlebars, as I don't want to go through the process of remounting/installing new cables.

If anyone could give me any ideas I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

I'm pretty busy this month, but next month I'm going to try to make some 1" risers at work. Shouldn't be too hard with so many machinists running around to help me.
One of the ideas I gave Rivco was to make a sort of "T" nut. The studs in our bars are in the bars and not removable, that I know of. The triple tree is thick so when you raise the bars 1/2", the threads disappear. Would need something to go up into the the tree holes with threads internally, but thin enough to fit in the hole. With a bottom that has a way to tighten that also.
Like this; but have a hex head where the flat is. Just a thought.

Yeah. Those machinists are tricky buggers, though. I'm sure they can make whatever I need. I was assuming I could just powder coat a longer bolt, but I haven't taken it apart yet to see how it's put together. If the studs are part of the bars, you could weld a peice of allthread on them to extend them pretty easily... or drill and tap the bars so you could use a bolt and be able to change it whenever you want. I don't know. I'll figure something out. I'm sure one of my buddies at work will help me figure out a way to do it without messing with the structural integrity of the setup.

Just saw this thread, I like the T-nut idea, Smokin. Our triple clamps are drilled out way bigger than the studs that hold the bars, so there should be enough room to keep it strong, I'll have to check. Those with matching spacers might be the trick. As far as cables go 2"x 2" really seems to be about as far as you can move the bars without replaceing the cables? If you were just going up, or moving them forward it would work better. When you go up and back you have to get creative with the routing, and it not only starts to look bad, but starts to kink the throttle and they start to rub on the tank! If you want to move the bars you should count on replacing them, if your lucky they will reach and you can do them one at a time starting with the worst fit? I'll try to post a pic so you can see what happens.

I know now after riding 1,000 miles with my bike packed so I lean back against it, with the bag I am leaning on pushing me forward so I can reach the handlebars easy I really want to get handlebars that come back a bit. I also don't need a tire anymore, LOL I got a flat while down here and now have brand new metzlers front n back (240 on the rear). My wife loves me ;)

I know this thread is old, but has anyone ever found a solution for this yet? I really want to move my bars up and back a couple inches each way.

No solutions as of yet. At least not without cutting the mounting plate off the stock and getting it welded on the new bars. Straightjacket was working on some mods but not sure what happened.
