I had ordered the Hardstreet Slims because I had seen them on another forum memeber's pic compared to the Classic tour.

The slims did not stick out so far and had a cleaner look. Upon recieving the bags I was suprised how little capacity they had due to the tapered bottom. Despite the measurement on the website of only a 1" difference in width this can only account for the lid. At the bottom there was only 2.5" inches. The inside capacity was so smal I could not put my leather jacket in there without completely smashing it down and I could not fit my average size backback with my 12" laptop.

So I ordered the Classic tour despite not wanting two big blimps hanging on the side. But now I can easily fit my backpack in one and my leather jacket in the other. I can even fit my half helmet easily if wanted to lock in there. Had to choose functionality over looks. I also have the QR brackets so I can go from bagger to cruiser in two minutes.

Here are some side by side pics for those who are trying to decide what's the real world difference between these two bags. Hopefully this will save you from the shipping cost of returning a large package which I expect to not be cheap.

guys I am having the TOUGHEST time choosing between the slim or classic bags. I need help asap. Due to a snafoo at the dealer where I bought my bike and bags together, I have until tomorrow to chose. I like the sleek look of the slim bags, but I worry about them being too small. Are the classic bags really that ugly looking on the Stryker?

Gish what do want to carry? Do you plan to leave them on full time?

I wanted bags to hold my leather Alplinestars jacket and my laptop backpack. The classic was just big enough to hold these items. The unfortunately they are kinda big looking. It just depends on how much stuff you plan on carrying and how often. PS. I might be selling my classics in the next day or so.

Strykeback, I would plan to leave them on full time. On average, I wouldn't store much. But I like the idea of being able to throw my leather jacket in there or some groceries if I made a quick stop at the store, or for anything else just to be prepared. But not if the classics are going to look too ugly. I just wish I could do a side by side comparison in real life. Pictures just aren't helping me enough.
