I had the Hardstreet HR Slimbags on for about 1000 miles, but just discovered to my horror that the backs are cracked out around all of the mounting holes. (I'll try to attach a photo.) The cracks on the right bag are hairline, the cracks on the left bag have actually left holes where sections have broken out. I've never come close to the carrying the maximum recommended 6 pound capacity, so I know they weren't overloaded.

I purchased directly from Hardstreet and used their fixed mount hardware, following all of the instructions explicitly. The bags are pre-marked to drill mounting holes for a Raider; I used those holes to help me locate where to drill my mounting holes; the area that I drilled through was the same apparent thickness as the area that they'd marked, so I don't believe it was an error in installation. I have an email in to the only support contact that I could find and haven't heard from anyone yet. I can't find any warranty information on the site, nor on the paperwork (installation instructions) that came with the bags.

I love the appearance of the bags and they were a great addition. Right now I couldn't recommend them. I'm hoping that they'll stand behind their product.

Does anyone have any experience with Hardstreet from a support or warranty standpoint? I found a very similar post on another forum, but there was no follow-up. I'll update this post if anything comes of it.

Update on my Hardstreet HR issue:

I managed to speak with someone at Hardstreet last week. He provided me with an email address and asked if I could send some photos. I was told on Friday that they're going to replace my bags, so I can't say anything negative.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has any insight or suggestions for a shock-absorbing mount of some sort. I don't know whether vibration was the issue or if it was a material defect in the first set of bags, but I'd obviously like to prevent a second occurrence. Any thoughts on drilling the hole a little larger and fitting a rubber grommet in the mounting hole or doing something similar (or completely different if you have a better idea)?

Glad they are taking care of you. I checked my sixers and i dont see any cracking or issues going on. Look the same as the day i installed them. I used the easy brackets, they provide a lot of support and probably will not cause the issues you had. Try checking into the easy brackets, they work great and allow easy on and off of the bags.

Glad to see they are replacing the the bags. I received my classic bags a few weeks ago(after returning my slims) but because of the Easy Brackets and the Cycra "muti-tech" bracket holes not lining up. (Why would they? They are two separate manufacturers) I find myself having to get an aluminum plate cut to mate these two systems together. It definitely seems as if there is flexing going on while they are filled. Maybe 2 aluminum or plexiglas brackets horizontally on the inside would provide extra support?

Just bought my Slim Bags with the Hardstreet mounting bracket kit. I see that the dimples provided for drilling the mounting holes are set up for the Raider, which has fender bolts farther apart than the Stryker. Has anyone seen a template for drilling holes for a Stryker mounting? (I don't want to start making Swiss cheese out of the back of my bags trying to get the right fit.😊)
