I've seen a couple of aftermarket (Low & Mean OR was it Sweat & Sour) fenders discussed on the forum...but has anyone actually cut/bobbed their rear fender? I would imagine the 3 into 1 bulb (rear light, turn signal, and STOP) Harley uses on their new Dyna Wide Glide would work with our 12volt system???

Has anyone that has cut their fender posted a how to? It is something I would love to do once I put a wider tire and a drop kit on but I'm a little nervous to just start cutting. A little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

SR71 did, look up a couple of posts. You pretty much just tape off(or use a sharpie) mark it the way you want and trim. I used a 4 1/2" grinder with a cut off wheel and a very light hand, dont want to bubble too much paint. Make sure you figure out the lighting first!

I used air powered Mini recipricating saw. This keeps down on the heat build-up and saves the paint.
