Am I missing something or does the Stryker not have hazard lights? My last bike (Kawasaki Vulcan) had hazard lights, and I actually used them several times when someone would get too close behind me. They seemed to be quite effective - I think that many drivers just don't realize that they're crowding you in traffic and they usually back off if you let them know. And flashing taillights and turn signals are an effective way of letting them know.

Since there aren't hazard lights, how do you let people know they're crowding you? Do you just tap the brake pedal a few times to flash the taillight?

I've had bikes in the past also equipped with hazzards, you're right, it would have been a nice touch on yamaha's part. My last bike I equipped with electro pods brake flasher. Its very small, has tape that allows you to place just about anywhere. I kept a small rubber band on my bars and when needed and when parked I would put the rubber band around the handlebar and front brake lever thus activating the flashing electro pod.
