I think you're headed in the right direction. I personally would like to see the pointy part softened a little bit. I think the problem with the Stryker headlight is the back half, kind of squished and flat. For example/reference I really like the shape of Demon's Cycle headlights, price isn't bad either ($69.00)

Alas not available in black for this model.

A black headlight from Demon's is a little cruder in style but does have a visor . . . . .
Good price too $48.99. Might have to fab up something with the mount to make it work.

My 2 cents.

That chrome one is exactly the light I have-they had a black version not too long ago-but sand it & throw on some Krylon Flat Black & it's cherry.

I am digging the idea a lot and I'm ok with the point, but maybe it should be a bit softer. Makes me think I should mess around with some cardboard mock ups this weekend and see what they look like.

I think you are on to something. ;)

IT'S A NAY FOR ME. I hate the light that came with this bike. I love the 5 3/4 light like the Demon or the one's you see on Victory bikes, the problem is how to mount it. And even if you figure that out what do you do with all the wiring Yamaha shoved into the back of the factory light. That is **** poor thinking and design..

they have adapters for Harley style lights. And just drill a hole in the bottom like the stock light and shove it all in .
Yup, exactly what I did...
Nyjol: You serious? You have one mounted on your Stryker. Dude  Pictures and part number for the bracket you used to mount it. Did I miss a post you've already done. I think I'm going to wet myself. This is the one mod I've been wanting to do since day one. ;D
