Whats everyones opinion on the headlight brightness? This is my first cruiser and to me the light sucks at night. The factory bulb is a philips 12342 LL H4. I just ordered a Philips Xtreme Vision H4 bulb from powerbulbs.com which is in the UK can't buy them in the U.S. for some reason. you get 2 of them for 50 bucks. I didn't want to go with HID's since theres not much room to put the ballast. I read several other forums about this bulb and it is 100% brighter with no extra heat and its the same wattage. I don't expect it to last no where as long as the factory one but for the added safety at night and day thats fine with me. I'll post up some comparison pics when they come in.

Ya I'd have to agree with you on that one. my first ride on the bike included night riding and it was kinda scary. I live in remote area so no street lights and besides not seeing that good. every time a car came at me I couldn't see anything. Im going to try a different H4 bulb. probably one of those silverstars. I've thought about the HID's too but not legal in the US or atleast cali since you dont have a HI/LO.

they do have hid's with hi/lo they are called bi-xenon I have them on my wife's h3. the ones I ordered are suppose to be the brightest you can get in a 55w and very close to the brightness output of a 4300k hid. I've tried the silverstar ultras in my f250 and they were worse then the factory bulbs they are tinted to give them the blue color and it made it harder to see the road. The xtreme visions are a pure white light so they should hopefully be a very powerful light for day and night driving.

I picked up a 6000k HID from aacstyle.com. The brand is oracle. Which is one of the best company's put. It's a h4 bulb. It is one bulb that has hi and low. The low is the hid and the hi is regular yellow. It's all plug and play and the slim ballast can be mounted on the back side of the radiator

It's aswesome. Lol. But give Jonathan a call. Tell him you know me and you want a price. The price might be better. Alot of times the site isn't the best way to go. Personally, I never go on the site I call and talk to Jonathan everytime. The number is 1800 407 5776.

Just got back from doing a little night ride with the new Philips Xtreme Vision H4 bulb and its alot better. Low beam is about 50% brighter and pure white. The high beam Is the biggest difference its like having 2 headlights.
