I Modded a Vstar 1300 heel toe shifter to work with my existing shifter. Alot of cutting, welding, & bending. Used chrome paint for now till winter when I can send out to get professionally chromed.

Well if your bike is dusty like mine most the time- not much difference LOL But it is tucked way down and not hardly noticable anyhow.

Definitely would like heal kick shifter cause I don't like pulling my toes out from under the toe shift but not sure if I want to go through that much trouble. Is there an alternative?

Hi,

I have bought one off ebay from a 1900 midnight star but it is different and will have to be adapted to fit. I also bought the floorboards but am not sure what they will look like. Your picture looks like it will work. I currently hava 1300 moidnight star and always use the heel shift so being with it is a big difference for me. Hope my hubby can get it to work.

Hey Jan, I had to cut and use pieces from both the Stock Stryker and the 1300 Shifter to make it work. As you can see the heel shift arm is extended 2 inches or so. I also had to shorten the arm to the shift rod by 1/4 inch or it would scrub the frame. Had to do a little bending of arms, but actually bends relatively easy. The Vstar 1100 floorboard bolt right on with no modifications.

Heel Toe Shifter

Do you know if anyone makes direct bolt on heel-toe shifters for the Stryker?

I found this one by MC Enterprises on eBay for the V-Star 1100: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191358269231?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Do you think that would work without any modifications?

Thanks!

VStar 1300 tourer looks closer yet, but just can't say without trying. Might be an expensive try if it don't work though.

Thanks to "11Stryker" looks like it's direct bolt on from 2013 1300XVS p/n 3D8-18110-12-00. :) Found one on ebay. Had to grid a little bit from the bottom. Around 1mm. Used original rod. It's a little bit further and higher than stock.

That's great my Friend!, Only thing I like better on mine is the heel part is way to the back and takes very little effort to find it. That is as close as you can come with that Vstar1300 setup!! Very nice !!!

You are right 11Stryker :). Heel part is a lot higher. It took time to get used to it. I'm not using it very often :(. I don't have a welder around to break it apart and adjust it. This will be next project for winter.

My original problem was after I installed a floorboards (special Thank you to 11Stryker) I had a hard time to switching. The stock peg was very close to boot. I adjusted it but it get a weird angle which was also uncomfortable. Shifter from Vstar 1300 are different. The toe shifter is higher and longer. Which turned out a perfect angle and distance to me. I'm short 5'9 :).

Had to replace a circlip. Was loose after removing. I almost lost entire shifter :)

It looks like some forward controls may put the shifter right on the money as far as position goes. My concern is the ability(or lack of) to angle the full size floorboards, do they come adjustable?

I'm not using forward control. And floorboards are not adjustable. I think the only way to adjust shifter it's like 11Stryker did break it apart and modify and weld it back with proper angle and clearance. There is a little adjustment you can make with rod.

Heel Toe Shifter

This is a great find, but I'm worried that I'd have to be picking my foot up every time I shift up or down. Do you think you could just bend the front and back bars a bit down so that they are more comfortable?
