Hey guys, love the site. Looks good so far. Right now I am debating on getting the Stryker, or the Honda Fury. My wife loves the Stryker because its more comfortable for her. The only Stryker i really like is the Black one. Im not much of a chrome guy. The dealership only has the Red and Blue, no Black. So im wondering if i should get the Blue one and then just starting modding it with all black parts. The only cruiser i ever owned is i have a 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 and its just too small for me. I have owned 5 crotchrockets which i currently own one as well. But just looking forward to getting away from that and just enjoying riding. So i think the Stryker is it for me.

A very good choice! The Raider is another excellent choice too.

I've compared both the Fury and the Stryker, and the Stryker won hands down.

Yamaha built this bike to compete directly with the Honda Fury, and made the Stryker
better (ergonomics, belt drive, steel fenders, etc...) to win over some Fury candidates.

For me the Fury just is too clean, it is the little details like the cooling fins on the jugs, design of the engine mounts, rear fender, etc... all add to the bike, the fury looks too plain, too clean... personal opinion

Welcome Guns;

Everyone here is pretty much a raider or styker fan, but don't let that sway you. Like you I was looking at the Fury and Stryker and had to make a decision. I looked at what I wanted my bike to look like in 5 years. I wanted the large wide back tire. Stryker you can move up to 240, with the Fury you would need new rim. Add $1500 to your price tag. I wanted the long rake look. Stryker has a longer rake. Also Low and Mean having a great aftermarket selection helped. More then any other bike they make parts for.

Bottom line, decide what you want in the future and buy the bike based on that. Even though I love my Stryker, I still like the Fury and can see why someone would buy one.

Guns_ABlazin- Welcome!!! I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Stryker. I do like the look of the Fury, but the huge amount of plastic parts just doesn't work for me. Plus I prefer Yamaha to Honda. Always have.

So can't your dealer order you a black Stryker or get one from somewhere else?

Yes im sure they can. But i think ill just get the blue one and begin the modding process. I love the vance and hines pipes from Low and Mean, with the heat wrap. I think ill just get those and be happy lol. I should be picking up my stryker or raider tomorrow.

Strykers are very much welcome to join in! You can't go wrong with either bike, they are two of the best cruisers out there! I fell in love with the Raider on my first test ride, it was immediately comfortable from the very beginning.
