Hey everyone, been on the site for a while now, joined up when I first decided that I would be buying one of these and took a while because of where I live to actually acquire one. So finally decided to make my own post. I went for the 2011 copper red. Had it for a couple weeks now and really enjoying getting back into riding. Since I live on an island I cant go on any long road trips but at least we have year round great weather. ;D

This is the first time in 11 years I've ridden, my first bike was a Suzuki GSXR600 so quite a change for me but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Already I've ordered the V&H exhaust, Cobra Powr Tuner and Intake and a few other pieces like grips, ScytheII mirrors etc and plan on getting a few items from Low and Mean later. I'm barely 5'8 and while the bike is certainly manageable a couple of inches lower would be nice so decided to go with the PCS dogbones lowered one inch and eventually get the L&M seat which is supposed to seat you 2" lower so when I get my 240 Avon I will still be a couple inches lower but have decent clearance.

I own a performance modification car shop here and am currently restoring/modifying an old 1976 car so that has alot of my resources and time taken up but when I saw the Stryker for the first time online a few months back I fell in love and couldnt resist.

Anyway I guess I'll post up some pics etc when I get the chance, not like we dont all know what the bikes look like with the mods but still. 8)

Thanks guys.

StrykenShane, where abouts in Atlanta are you? Been up a couple times with my wife also and had a great time. Did all the usual touristy things.

SR71, I'll be more likely to pick them up myself! ;D

I got the bike from North Miami Yamaha Seadoo in FL. The guys there were fairly cool to deal with. Getting my parts there also, although seems to be taking longer than it should.

@immortal13. I wanted to do the 2.25" drop but was worried about turning clearance on the standard 210 tyre. I'm only 170lbs and almost always ride solo but was just a bit worried about too much peg scrapping and even heard a few stories about the stock muffler scraping also.

False, I've actually found it a little harder to scrape the pegs after the 2.25 drop.....at the most there's no difference. Idk about the stock exhaust, I've got the v&h big radius on mine.
Cool good to know. What tyre do you have on though? I dont care much about the exhaust cause I'll be changing to the V&H soon anyway.

I dont mean to rain on your parade here immortal but with the 2.25 drop you will scape pegs easier and you can also scrape the stock exhaust in the right conditions as I have and so has Toby. You can learn to change your riding habbits so you dont scrape but to say its harder to scrape is just flat out wrong and not mathematically correct. Can I say that? lol... Also one other person has even bottomed thier fender on the chain guard riding two up on the 2.25 drop.

Welcome to the forums redline, Nice copper you have there. ;)

Don't worry about my parade lol. I have the 2.25" drop and the 240 Avon, and I can't tell any difference on scraping the pegs.....but that's just my opinion.

ahhh... It's the 240. It actually stands you back up another .5 inches. Thats the difference my friend. I have the Stock 210 still on. Now that makes sense. With the stock 210 lowered 2.25 you will scape if you are even just a bit aggressive in the twisties.

Gotcha my man....I did both mods at the same time, and like I said I really can't tell the diffence.
No Doubt, I need to hurry up and get this 210 worn out so I can get me a 240. I might have to go visit Toby to get it done quicker... lol
