I'm glad to see this great support of the Stryker. I just got mine last Thursday,it had just arrived into Canada the previous Fri., and my local dealer received it on the following Tues. They were nice to let me see it be born out of the crate, and assembled, (with a little bribe of 2 dozen donuts), then off to work I had to go. The next day I took it for a test ride, ran down to get a plate and insurance, and then took it home, and again had to rush off to work, (very reluctantly). We had a great riding day on Fri. and an even better day on Sat. Between the test ride, and the two riding days, I have put on 271 Kms(168 mi.) My butt has been the only one in the seat. I have gotten the blue, and am really pleased with the color. I have also placed my order for a whack of the "Star" accessories, and am placing an order with "Low and Mean" on Mon. When it gets all together, I will post some pictures, maybe even try for "bike of the month". The only other thing I can say is,WOW WHAT A RIDE, after learning on my first bike, at age 47, on an 83 Honda Shadow 750, 3 years later, this bike is a DREAM to ride. I did test ride a Honda Sabre, but when Yamaha came out with this bike, I just had to get one. It's my reward for quitting smoking, and worth it
Now from my "banker", my wife:
This bike is taking over my life, my carport and my back yard but I guess it is worth it to see the smile on my husband's face - as he rides it to work for the next 25 years - retirement at age 75 WOW!

CS, very happy to have you on this forum! It is also good to have the support of your wife. April of 2010 I lost everything I owned in a house fire, including three bikes(1- 08 Raider), two cars (1- convertible Mustang). When I goy my insurance check for the Raider, my wife strongly suggested I get another Raider, she thought it would be therapuetic for me. She was 100% right!! All this to say; be grateful your wife is supportive, and if she enjoys riding behind you as much as my wife does, you are a blessed man!

Howdy Neighbor and Welcome to the forum! Great to hear your Wife's support also! My Wife suprised me by supporting this decision for me! I had not had a road bike since 1988. Only thing I would work on that your Wife mentioned is the retirement age. I too am 50 and am working another maybe 7 to 10 years(I might be dreaming too!! LOL) Good luck and happy to see you here on the Forum.
