I'm going to be buying Progressive front springs and Progressive rear shock with spring this Friday and a 240 Rear Tire soon to follow, but I need some help making a decision on which shock to get.
The two options are:
Standard and 1" inch lowered

I would love to get the one inch lower since the 240 makes the bike set even higher but my concern is because my wife and I are big people and I'm worried about the squat of the bike. Just to give you a idea, I'm 6'3" #295, wife would kick my ass if I tried to elaborate on her  ... . I know the progressive spring pushes back against tension but will it be enough?

So I would like anyone with the 240/250 and spring to chime in and give your experiences with passenger, luggage, etc;. I got 11Stryker's input but he is a skinny dude, lol.

Well I am 511 270 running a 240 tire with a pcs adjustable lowering link the goes from regular stock height to a 1" drop or a 2" drop. I usually ride solo. Due to winter weather issues I can only give my experience using a 2" drop and a stock 210 tire with a passenger.

I had no rubbing issues with a 2" drop and a 210 with passenger. My lowering kit is the pcs slam kit, progressive rear spring and adjustable lowering link. You might look at that since it has an adjustable height setting. I'll case my vote though.

Will do, parts won't be here for a couple weeks though. Talked to Phatperformance tonight because the rear is out of stock. Progressive isn't due to ship until March 2.
Been looking for a good manual and researching the install a bit. Found this video

Just watched the vid on the front spring replacement and ordered Progressive front springs also from Phat. Best price by far between 5 different sites I tried.
