My hi beam light isnt working (the dash indicator does turn on). Manual says H4 and shows the photo of the single (common car style) bulb. For some reason my bike has 2 smaller bulbs instead. One bulb is long and skinny with a blue rod attached to the outer part of it. The other is a smaller clear bulb. The plastic housing they are plugged into says H4 on it, but it isnt the normal H4 3 prong plug. These look like small pin hole plugs.

Its night so I have to take a photo tomorrow if my description isnt enough.

Thank you for the responses. Yes I bought the bike used at 2600 mi.

I was reading some posts here on HID and one said I would lose the Hi-Beam feature with this kit? Can anyone confirm this?

I ordered a replacement bulb from that website. Thank you for the referral.

I guess the unnerving part of this is removing the bulb without breaking something. It looked directly wired and the connection point wrapped in electric shrink wrap. It's not the same kit as Xenonlink (which you can clearly see a socket connection). I'm going to give a good tug and see if she pops! The seller isn't telling me what brand of kit he used. He tells me to re-install the factory harness if I don't like it. Well that would be fine and dandy if I actually had the factory harness!

I took some photos. Had a friend look at it and he pointed out what appears to be the factory H4 socket (2nd photo - left of the rubber gasket). I can see where I could remove the HID kit and put everything back stock.

If I wanted to keep the hid...there are 2 sets of wires coming from the bulb. A red/black to the small bulb and a separate set of black wires to the longer bulb which is wrapped in electrical shrink at the base.

In this kit there is no relay. Ballast is what hooks to the bulb.
The relay is usually not included in kits I add them so as to take power from battery rather than that of the bike. And the ballast is a rectangular box which ignites the xenon gas in the hid bulb the bulb will not light up without it. From his pictures it looks as if the ballast was put under the gas tank.

You may add a relay but this kit does not have one.
I ran this on my bike for two years and what you see is what you get. He might have extended the wires to fit under seat but on mine I had the ballast under the tank.
Here is the ballast that comes with it and all plugs are used to assemble.
