Sorry folks, first year riding, my first bike, pretty much new to the biker world so.... Ok guys my bike seems to rattle when riding slow. So if I'm in 1st gear just cruisin, and then I try to give it some gas, the bike rattles or gets jumpy till she catches some speed. It's like when you shift high for low speeds. Does it make sense?? Once I get descent speed she runs beautiful.. Just that little concern, since I've never been on any other bike I don't know if this is normal or not. Is this normal or do i have to take her to the shop?? Thanx guys for any help provided

It's normal, don't sweat it!
Look around at the 30 tooth front pulley mod which gears it down just a notch for lower end.
These bikes are geared a little high from stock.
I changed mine and got rid of the lugging chug/rattle.

These are awesome bikes but they do require a little "tweaking" to make them more user friendly at lower RPMs.

Try the search feature (advanced search) and type in pulley, or O2 mod, or check out what most of us have done, Auto tune...

You don't have to do it all at once for the sake of saving some wallet thickness but once the "Mod Bug" catches you there is a vast knowledge base on this forum to steer you in the right direction.

same thing happens on a manual transmission car. you're not in the "power band". when this happens in first gear just feather the clutch a bit. in other gears just down shift
