I had the same thing happen to me with a 1977 Jeep I did a full restoration on. Just drove it to a car show with the old lady just to look at other cars and when we got back to the Jeep, there was a trophy for best looking 4X4. The joke was on them though.....The 4X4 wasnt hooked up and the front drive shaft wasnt even on it......Kept the trophy though....Suckers!!!!!

back in Nov 2011 i just got off from work for a training exercise for my new position. It was a Wed and i got off at 5ish and decided to take a cruz in El Cajon CA and to my surprise i saw lots of old vintage cars and a lot full of motorcycles. I parked in the lot where the bikes were and say some pretty nice rides especially a customed out bike with 300rear tire and nice candy green paint job with an actual skull shifter on the left side where u hit the gears instead u shift like a car!!! some lady watching the bikes was part of the venue and mentioned to me that the judging will take place at 6pm so hang around. I think ok why not? I go to the bar next to where the bikes are parked and have a couple beers then a little past 6pm a group of people with clipboards get to the lot of bikes and c a vintage sportie in the 1st space then my bike in the 2nd and the custom 3rd and all the other bikes where ever they were.... The judges overlooked the others and placed the letter of Congrats on my mirror and deemed me champ!!!!!
