I gotta say I am in heaven again... My last bike was a 2002 YZF R6 and I sold it three years ago... I thought it was about time to get a new one so I started window shopping and then I saw it the new 2011 Stryker and fell in love right away.... The price was great but still more than I wanted to spend $11,666 out the door with all the accesories, luggage rack, sissy bar, engine guard, detachable windshield etc... I then just went home to debate about it and talk to the ole' lady and decided to just wait a year for it to come down a couple thousand bucks... Then it happened while browsing the internet while trying to find used stryker which obviously were far and few $10500 here $11000 there lowest was $9499 from a dealer and out the door $10,250... I then decided to check craigslist to see if anyone decided to sell the bike not thinking I will get in my price range but to just see what people wanted for them slightly used to or little past break in. The lights brightened and I saw a 2 month old 2011 Yamaha Star Stryker.........$8500....... I was WOW... I emailed immediately. I still thought it was to good to be true... Then I got an email that it was still for sale... He gave me his number and I went to the bank to get approved for a $8500 loan... that evening I called him and discussed why he was getting rid of the bike and he had a legit reason so then I asked if he would take $8000 and exactly what I would say no way... I then said $8250 and he meet me half way since we lived 3 1/2 hours apart and he thought about it and said ok... I was in shock so asked if he would like to meet the next day Saturday at noon and he agreed... I went to the bank first thing in the AM and got my $8250 check and meet him and took delivery of my first brand newish motorcycle in three years.... I gotta say it feels good to ride again and I was impressed with how well it drove and accelerated.... Obviously not like my R6 but for a cruiser it was plenty and pulled real hard... i will definatly want it faster in the near future I kind of am highly addicted to HP and TQ... Let the mods begin
