No, the 927 is the single projector and ballast kit. The others I saw were for cars (dual headlamps).

As far as fitting into the stock housing, I doubt it, the stock light is short, and has a load of **** in the back. It was my intention on using an aftermarket "bullet" style headlight and retrofitting it with the Projector.

The second one is a H4 bulb and ballast setup. The first one is an actual bulb and projector lens setup.

I did some research and the lenses for a standard bulb do not direct the light correctly for use in HID, usually you get a really tall and wide beam that can blind oncoming traffic. The correct HID lenses create the flat and wide pattern you really want for a headlight.

Hope that answers the question. You can use the second one all day, but you may not get a true HID looking output due to the beam.

Thanks Jester..........I did some searching myself and this article explains it very well, and with pictures for us dummies.

Why not go with a HID bulb? Mount the ballast in the neck and run wires into the bucket.
Yea Joe I wish there were a definitive answer as well. Maybe once riding season comes around we'll get to see one in person.

The stock bulb is OK but I'd prefer more brightness at night etc. Been a number of years so maybe the aftermarket replacement bulbs now are better than they were before. Replaced one car's headlight with the Sylvania Silverstar(or something like that) and they burnt out in less than a year. Stock halogens went back in and have lasted over a decade.
Like I said maybe something like a PIAA bulb would be cost effective solution. Not true HID but better than stock... If nothing else it's a really easy mod to just swap a bulb ;)

I had a HID bulb/ballast in my VTX until I pulled a wire out of the bulb socket. Was really bright. Here's the one I had......................

I just asked if they do discounts for multiple orders.

That's not bad at all. If it direct fits in our bucket I'd consider a group by. heck it's less than 2X the PIAA price on Amazon. Cannot look now but hoping there is enough space in the frame neck to hide the ballast.

There is plenty of room in the neck area.
