Coming home from dropping off a movie last night, got hit from behind by a young girl. Bunch of RR and a sore butt. Slight concussion but nothing broken. Nice egg on the top of my dome. Can't figure out how this happened. I was headed west letting a car headed east pass before turning on our road and slowed to let him pass. WHAM! Literally 300 feet from my house.
Going to yard to get some pix.
YEP, no helmet.

Glad you are OK but wear a helmet. Scrapes like that and a concussion is a wake up call if I ever saw one.
Sorry for the soapbox but I feel strongly and like you said "Cannot figure out how it happened...". That's the whole point, we cannot fully prevent the accidents but we can hopefully lessen the severity.
Adding airbags to cars didn't stop accidents; they just allowed more people to survive them...
Give that some thought everyone and ride safe my friends.

That sucks Joe, but glad you didn’t have any major injuries.
You should be able to come out of this with any bike you want.. any thoughts on that?

Whoa....crazy bro!
For some reason...that seems even scarier to me cuz we are in the same neck of the woods. I'm gonna start wearing my helmet man....forget comfort or tryin to "look cool"...I'd rather live to ride another day!
Thnx for posting Joe...hate to say it but your unfortunate accident may turn out to save my life in the future.....I'm glad you're not hurt too bad brother.
