Well I have only 412 miles on my new 2013 black Stryker. Completely stock as of yet. Well I personnaly am a die hard hardley hater since 1973 and will always be. With that said I know alot of you metric bike riders are fed up with alot of crap you have to put up with some times when incountering a hardley head. Today im just putting around since it wasn't raining out but about too:(. I past the little town of Helen,Ga on my way home to Cleveland, GA and a hardley was paceing me on what I think was a road queen with a bat wing fairing on it carring a lady passenger. Well a double lane was coming up and the cager in front of me was doing 45 in a 55MPH zone and as I went into the left lane the hardley was rite on my tail. I had down shifted to a few lower gears and nailed it. His hd was behind me but falling back. I thought I would pull away faster as I am use to toasting them with my Roadliner S. I even pulled the smaller v-snods , the 1130cc ones from 60-110mph. Most hardleys have pipes, air kits, tuners and who the **** knows what cams, E,C,G,ect. In them already. Any way I went back into the right lane and of course this hd rider wasn't giving up. So he LOUDLY passed me and I went into persuit. I swear his floor boards were almost touching the road as he was going around a high speed gental radius curve. I was gaining on him and was going to pass him around the turn and it was the first time I hit the limiter on my Stryker in third gear:nod:. So I decided no way am I going to pass him in his lane , that is pure dangerous enough and plain stupid. I already proved my jap crap (as hd boys call metric bikes) could pull away. Now I did not pull away like im use to on my Liner, but I bet when I get a different pipe, air kit and tuner my Stryker will wake up. Well to end the story we both stopped at a light and as he inched up next to me ( probably looking for the engine size emblem on my Stryker,LOl) I looked at him with my black shielded helmit and gave a freindly wave, he wouldn'y look at me at all. But the chick on back was eye balling me:thumb:. Then when the light changed he didn't go for it. I really try to be good out there with hd riders, but some of them really hate jap bikes as much as I hate hardleys. can't we all get along? Who said that?

While I can't claim to be a Harley Hater I do despise the short sighted, BS attitude that a lot of them have.

I was riding home from the coast last weekend, just toolin' along at about 65 in a 60 mph on a long straight stretch of 101 and saw a Harley rider ahead, riding just ahead of a guy on a sport bike and I was slowly catching up.
They were not real good at holding a steady speed either intentionally or not.
I ride alone most of the time and I was alone on this trip.
I moved over into the passing lane and slowly rode past just to get where I was going.
The guy on the sport bike gave me the "Right on" fist pump in the air and I did it back, nice enough guy I thought as he was checking out my Stryker.
I kept at the same speed and soon passed the Harley rider who was all decked out in his Sons of anarchy gear, chrome helmet, leathers beard stubble and "Badass goggles to boot"!
I waved as I went by, even gave him a head nod. I figured he couldn't be a Harley snob since he was riding with the guy on the sport bike... I was wrong.
About a minute, and a mile down the road later I check my right mirror and here he comes in a semi tuck!
Since all I got from him was a sneer I figured he was out to prove something to me.
As soon as he was next to me (going fast as he could) I twisted the throttle hard, didn't even downshift and holy **** that Stryker came alive!!!
He got maybe a bike length or two on me with his head of steam he had and that's all she wrote.
I flew by him at about 90 or better (speedo read over 100) and kept on going, no tuck needed!!!

He backed off and resumed riding with the sport bike guy.
I could almost hear his pride deflating!!!

Yeah, the pipes, Big air kit, and the programmer really wake up the Stryker and turn it into a Harley slayer!:thumb:

I've not had many encounters with HOGs, but today my wife and I pulled over on the side of the road to check my directions, had a HOG pull over to ask if we were having problems. Explained what we were doing and they not only helped us out with directions, but let us ride along as they were heading in the same direction. Have to say thanks to them.

Hmmm? Just bought a 2013 Road Glide I have been wanting a HD since I was a kid and finally said WTF. I never could justify it before but figured I'd get it out of my system. I'm still breaking it in so am unsure of the Hp? It "seems" to have more hp than the Stryker but nowhere near the VTX1800. It does not stop as fast as the VTX, but better than the Stryker. It rides real nice and will out handle both of these bikes with the same skilled rider. Mainly because it has a higher ride height and can corner sharper because it does not drag parts. I'm OBVIOUSLY not a hater I love bikes!

When I was looking for pipes for the Stryker and the VTX I remember thinking if only I had a Hardley, they can get everything! Now I have one and there are to many choices? A bikes a bike, it should be about riding! I had fun on my Stryker and sure I miss it but am having just as much fun on the HD. If you think L&M is expensive, buy a HD!

Life's short, enjoy the ride!
