No problem at all. It sounds beautiful and you can't even tell the holes are there if u didn't know. Anything under 1/2 in will sound like crap. I hated it when I had them a little smaller. But once I made them 1/2 in I loved it.
Hey Shimbo I wonder. On my side I pierced 2 holes of 1/2' holes by baffle. It sound great... but I wonder if it does make a big difference with 4.

Did you tried to start the bike after drilling 2, to later on drill 4? Would the sound be louder or just deeper? I kind of like the way it is with 2, I am afraid that 4 would make it too lound. But if it just change the tone, I would do it.

I don't know. Sorry. I did 8 holes as big as my cordless drill could do. And I hated it. I thought I was going to have to buy new pipes. Then I used my corded drill wirh the 1/2 in holes and said. THANK GOD. If sounds great and is perfect for me.

My problem was that it sounded like all the noise was coming just from the exhaust tip. Which sounded cheap. When I made them bigger is when it sounds like it's supposed to.

So if yours sound a little like it's just coming from the tip then do 4. I know it's scary because u don't wanna ruin a good thing but it might be better.

It's not too loud. I can promise you that. I have four 1/2 in. in each. and it sounds much better than stock. I still want to get aftermarket exhaust but have to save some cash first! **** mods are expensive.

To answer your question about performance. I didn't see a change in fuel economy but I think I lost a little low-end torque and about 3 mph off top end speed. I can only get the bike up to 122 now! ;D

Has anybody had any problems after drilling the 8 1/2 inch holes in pipes. I have heard it sounds good but how about the performance.
I am pretty sure that I lost some power and the bike stuttered a bit at certain gears. The Power Pro and the air intake has fixed it all and now runs great. It sounds good but not overly loud. Will probably do the Swepts when some funds appears.

No power loss whatsoever... remember it's not carbed, it's fuel injected and now you're moving even more air through which would actually give you a GAIN in power as opposed to a loss! Some folks claim a difference in mpg, but I'm still getting great gas mileage so if it's the truth, it's gotta be super minimal!

My wife is telling me not to as it's the one thing I have that gets me out of the house and brings me happiness! She said there are other ways of handling my situation and we'll manage should I become unemployed. Good part is that the bike is all paid for so I do't hafta worry about that one. Resumes are going out!
