Fellow riders-

Just got my bike back from the tunning shop. Here are the mods ( cobra air intake, cobra sweeps, power commander). Had a custom map drawn up and dyno'sd it before and after.
Here are the results before: 61 HP after 77HP. I will attach a picture of the dyno results (for all you non believers) when I get home. So far it rides like a whole different bike. My gearing is also adjusted. 1st- 0-30 ( easy) 2nd 30-60 ( no issues) etc etc. As for the sounds, all I gotta say is WOW. Pics to follow, please be patient. I will post a vid on youtube.

cheers

Finally we might get some numbers!!!!! I wonder if the V&H will deliver more power since the radius is bigger and offers less restriction.

Gentlemen here are the DYNO results! As for the damage all parts, installation, dyno and custom mapping, plus the 600mile service we are talking 1700 big ones. That said, all I can say is that I love the mods, I love the way she rides now, this V twin actually rumbles the way a V twin should.

Blue= Stock
Purple= with exhaust/intake
Green- with power commander and custom mapping

Hey Greyman... its all in the results.

and as for the vid.. i am so sold on the sound. i know you have to like it a lot when you revved up at the end. i know you did that inside the garage (acoustics and all) but do you like how they sound outside?

thanks a lot! sounds and the pipes look great.

Crazy-

The sounds outside is equally as nice, albeit does not have the echo as it does in the garage. The best way I can put it is that it has this deep rumble, especially with the lower gears 1 and 2. Sounds so sweet cruising the blvd. And as for the performance, it truly rides like a new bike. It no longer has that cheesy scooter sound that most metric bikes do. I will try to take another vid tomorrow of me riding it outside. I just need another person to follow me in a car. Easier said that done.

How did you adjust the gearing? Did you swap the drive pulleys?

I dunno if they adjusted the gearing. But something happened, when the installed the power commander 5, because my gears extended. Which makes it easier to ride in the city. Before when I was going slow on turns or stuck in stop and go traffic I had a hard time going from 1st to 2nd ( at least mentally) deciding which gear to use. now its easy I can use 1st gear to 0-30mph if needed and then jump to 2nd from 25-30mph without straining the engine like I did before. I also no longer have that clunking sound when I down shift to 1st gear.

This was the initial dyno. We did some more configuring later and squeezed a couple more HP out of her.

Crazy-

Im you telling you brotha. It does turns heads, I got major compliments riding home today. Additionally I live in a city with lots of motorcycle riders, and I got big ups from several riders. One shouted "dude what is that- the DARK KNIGHT???" Then he was like "sounds freaking awesome man". And I tell you, it does sounds pretty bad ass. Again a deep strong rumble. ohh and thanks, I am a service member.
