Built it all from scrap steel laying around the shop- some 1-1/2" X 3/4" square tubing and some flat iron. Welded a Valve seat to the back so I can mount the Old No7 emblem!

Thanks Shane, Maybe a winter project for making more. My Son says we need a Mig Welder and he is right. Real pain with the old stick welder and all the slag!

Looking good......
How it's feel....assume you haven't taken her out for a long ride yet....And I'm sure you could make adjustments as needed....

I assume you'll likely re-upholster the back rest.....
Thanks Joker! Might get a chance this week to try it on a nice ride. Had not thought about changing the backrest upholstery, but now you are making me think. LOL This is the softest backrest from Star I have found, so padding would have to stay. I did adjust it already by putting 1/4" washers behind lower screws. Now it touches my back uniformily.

Should have said something, I have a nice 250 amp Miller MiG that I had out welding a tank up with on Friday. Nice back rest! It's important for you old guys to be comfortable while riding.

And it is great- I might say. Keeps me from slouching! Now just put the Airhawk on and I could go all day!
