Homemade solo seat

I purchased a second stock seat and modded it to fit as a solo. I used a drimmel for all the cutting. I dug out the seat to move the sitting position down and back. I then filled it with silicone, covered it will cellophane, and smoothed it out with my hands. I then put the seat on the bike and sat on it to take a mold of my butt. Talk about custom fit. ;) I hope to get the cover back on sometime this week. I will probably glue the cover down; otherwise it won't be a perfect fit since I lowered and moved the seating position back.

Great Job Midlife! Really Cool!!
Looks great.
Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Interesting, can't wait to see how it feels to you.
me too!!! Maybe i can do the same :)
That's going to be nice! Do you plan on going with a black cover? I would almost look into the color of your streaks on the bike.

For now I just plan to cover it with the cover I took off the seat. I do have plans to have a cover made using maroon and white sting ray skins. It's a bit pricey so it may be awhile. Something like this:
Thats really expensive for a seat!! it sure looks good tho!!! love the color!!!
Wow! I don't care how unique it is, I will never pay $1200 for seat. This guy must charge $400/hr. Does he think he's a lawyer or something? You can buy an entire leather living room set for that!

I spoke to Mr. Alligator Bob and the seat was gonna cost between 800-1200. Just depends on the factors.
