decided since i ride 2 bikes and have a hard time logging mileage, to go with an hour meter. anyone have a guestimate on how many hours to log for oil change intervals?? i was thinking maybe 75 .

On my Raider I reset the B trip meter to 0 after getting it serviced

we have a hour meter ? I know there are 2 trip meters both for millage, time , total millage and clock.

no need for an hour meter... I dont understand... change the oil once a year or every 4000 miles.... I dont see where you need an hour meter unless you let the bike idle for hours on end.

That is correct. An hour meter would useless unless your bike is being used as a generator.

i was going to add the hour meter. i log hours in DC rush hour traffic with short miles. being in the FD, just used to hours, opposed to miles. had stryker since june and only have 450 mi. sorry, dumb idea.

I wouldn't consider it a dumb idea... I understand where your coming from being a FF and all. everything is dealt with in hours. There would be just nothing to compare it to, to determine when to do maintenance.

Just start putting synthetic oil in it if you are concerned about idle time, but Is use your B trip for service miles. Hours generally go for motocross or atv's I think.
