I have debated possibly making my own fork spikes but was wondering if anyone could tell me (or even better, show me with a picture) how their fork spikes mount? The top of the fork is just a nut so the only way I could see it mounting is with double sided tape...
How do the fork spikes mount?

Low and mean recommends dropping the forks down 1/4 inch and tighten back up. i suggest putting the bike on a lift to take the weight of the front wheel, but don't lift to high of the ground. lossen the 8 screws (to different allen wrenches will be needed). Get a piece of wood and tap gently till you drop each fork the same amount set the cap in place a tighten back up. this will not change the handeling of the bike. thats how i did it.
