Is there an easy way to turn the stock rear turn signals from yellow to red and make them into running lights, blinkers and brake lights combined?

Please post comments and links...

I just think that would make us much more visible from the rear...

You could use dual element circuits to turn them into running and blinker. The dual elements are like $20 for a pair. It would require splicing into the wire harness. I am sure you can get red replacement bulbs. Not really sure how you could use them as brakes also.

Yes Sir, that's it. That other unit is very good also. I had it on my VTX for many years and alway worked very well. A lot more work but still a good unit. I sold the tail lights and had to go to something else so used the Kury one. Try to get one bike specific if they have one. There is a universal one also.

The one I had had a ring of LEDs that was glued to the lens cover. Then run wires through stem to tap into existing wires. Tapped into brake for both sides, each turn, and into running tail light. Works great and very bright. Flashes from red (LED) to Orange bulb.

I have changed all my lights to LEDs. Just remember if you do change you will need a load stabilizer. That allows you blinkers to blink at the normal speed.

From my understanding this kit http://www.electricalconnection.com/docs/roadbike.PDF just adds the red leds to your stock light housing. This lets you have red running lights and break lights, while still having the amber turn signals.

I think this is the kit I'll get. Its exactly what I was looking for. Wanted to use the rear loli pops for more then just turn signals...

Remember the blinker fluid also provides the lubrication for the muffler bearings.
